Please join the Parish Council Search Committee in welcoming our new Pastor, Donna Murphy-Ceradsky. (think Sir-rad-ski 😊) and her family to our churches and community.  Pastor Donna comes to us from Pleasantville, Iowa, where she is currently living with her husband Garland and two daughters, Madison and Jamison.  Garland is employed in Newton, Iowa, while Madison is a student at Culver-Stockton College in Canton Missouri.  Jamison will graduate May 19, 2019 from Pleasantville High School and in the fall will join her sister at Culver-Stockton where she will be playing volleyball.

Pastor Donna and Garland are both natives of Missouri. Pastor Donna grew up on a farm graduating from high school in Princeton, Missouri. From serving churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri and Iowa, she has come full circle to her roots.  Pastor Donna will be serving the parish as a 1 year, 3⁄4 time (30 hrs. per week) Transitional Pastor.

With this type of calling the parties enter into a short-term contract.  At the end of that term, the contract is reviewed by the Parish Council and the Pastor.  After the review, if all parties are in agreement, the transitional pastor becomes the settled pastor.  We are excited about this arrangement and have high hopes for its success.

The family will be moving to the parsonage in Humeston in late May following Jamison’s graduation.  In the meanwhile, they will be visible in church and the community.  Pastor Donna will be establishing her office hours after her official start date of April 14th.

Please be sure to introduce yourself and wish them welcome to our Parish family!

Our Parish

Welcome to United Trinity Parish - a collaboration of three denominations, two congregations, nestled in the beautiful rural setting of southern Iowa. Sunday worship is at 9:00 A.M. at LeRoy Presbyterian Church and at 10:30 A.M. at Humeston Christian United Methodist Church. Even though we are three denominations, we are one in ministry. We are able to serve and praise God together in spirit although separate in physical locales.

Consider this your personal invitation to join this established community of faith. Whether you come weekly, sporadically, or for holiday services, you are welcome here. Come, worship, pray, and be part of God's journey with us in this place.

"For when two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
