"Through the Seasons"
Greetings from LeRoy, Iowa - one of the smallest towns in Iowa but home to the biggest hearts in the world. We are one of two congregations, three denominations, and lots of friends.
March 1, 2020, the LeRoy congregation celebrated the ordination of a new elder, Eric Cobb. It was a joyful, memorable morning of worship.
LeRoy Presbyterian Church
On January 17, 2021 at the annual meeting, Helen Ruth Boggs was presented a certificate for perfect attendance at Sunday School for 2020. She also received a necklace for perfect attendance made by Abounding Grace Designs. The necklace has "LeRoy Presbyterian Sunday School Perfect Attendance" and has charms for the years 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
LeRoy Harvest Festival
The LeRoy Harvest Festival is an annual fundraiser for the church that brings the community, families, neighbors, and friends together. Held in late September, the day consists of a parade, music entertainment, kids' games, a snack shack, a quilt raffle, and an evening meal. Thank you to all who make it a success.
Other Activities
Other activities include Bible School, a children's Christmas Program, and Maundy Thursday service. We join with the Humeston Christian United Methodist Church for potluck dinners, special worship services, Church in the Park, and sporting events.
We continue to be a place where people come to learn, to worship, and to serve the Lord. We thank God for God's loving presence among us and for the guidance, energy, and blessings continuously provided; and for the fellowship and ministry we share in this great church.
